The Rajgir safari is located in the famous and historic District Nalanda, Bihar. It is also known as the Rajgir Wildlife safari or Rajgir Nature safari. It is situated at approx 101 km from the capital of Bihar, Patna. It is opened for public on 16 Feb 2022. Total ₹177 crore has been spent to develop this wildlife. It is developed by the Department of Environment, Forest and climate change, Government of Bihar.
It is spreaded over 191 hectares (470 acres) with five zones. It’s name is Herbivore safari, Bear safari, Leopard safari, Tiger safari and lion safari.

Historical and significance
Rajgir is famous in the ancient history. In Ramayana, the holy epic of Hindus, it was known as many names like Girivraja, Rajgriha, Barhdrathpura and Kushagrapura.
As we know that the Rajgir was a first capital of ancient kingdom of magadh emperor. This holy place is mentioned in Great Hindu epic “Mahabharata” through it’s king Jarasandh.
This place is also related to Buddhism and Jainism. Both Mahatma budhha and Lord Mahavir taught their beleive in Rajgir during 6th and 5th century BC.

The nearst airport is gaya international airport which is just 70 km and the seond airport is Jayprakash Narayan Airport which is just 102 km from Rajgir

By train
The nearest Railway Station is Rajgir railway station and another one is Nalanda railway station. If we talk about the famous railway station, then it is Patna junction or Gaya junction.
By Bus
Rajgir bus stand is very famous stand where thousands of people board or unboard daily. It is just near the Rajgir main city or Rajgir safari.

Personal experience
my native place is Patna and Rajgir is only 70 km from Patna, Capital of Bihar. I visited Rajgir many types. Recently i visit there in 2023 with my friend. I face some difficulty. So, I want to share this experience with you guys. I arrived at Rajgir railway station at 11AM and started looking for hotel near Railway station. I booked hotel and rest there for some times. After refreshment we all have some lunch and booked a horse kart in 500 to visit all the places. He brings us many temples, Gurudwara and Monastery in the outskirt of Rajgir.
Next day, we woke up and went to visit Rajgir safari. We all assumed that we would enjoy there and book ticket after reaching there but the situation was totally different. When we arrive there and went to the ticket counter. We came to know that all ticker has been book online. There were no chance to visit present day without ticket. We requested many times to get entry but guard always denied. We all got upset.
After, some time we arrange a link who helps us to enter the the campus of Nature safari. After that we visit each and every place in side the nature safari with bus that has been provided by the authority.
So, If you want to visit there pls book the online and don’t wait for the day of visit to book ticket offline.
