  • Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa, is known also as the "Temple City of India". Bhubaneswar is an important Hindu pilgrimage centre.   • Guwahati, the capital city of the northeastern state of Assam, was formerly known as Pragjyotishpur. Couched between the picturesque hills of the eastern flanks of the Himalayan mountain range, Guwahati houses the political capital of the state, Dispur.

  • Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal is also known as the city Joy and city of palaces. The city is a perfect intermingle of modern and traditional cultures. Kolkata is situated in the banks of Hoogli River and the Howrah Bridge on the river makes it unique.

  • Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland lies smugly wearing a veil at the eastern frontiers of the mighty Himalayas. The city of Kohima was made in by the British as an observation post for the eastern region.
